What began as turning cherished family quilts into cozy coats and vests has grown into a collection of bags, Bible covers, and other one-of-a-kind treasures. Along my travels, I seek out well-loved vintage quilts—each with its own story, each deserving a second chance—and lovingly rework them by hand in my mountain studio.
For me, a quilt is more than fabric. It’s a metaphor. A symbol of connection, resilience, and community. Especially here in Ashe County, where threads of tradition and togetherness run deep, I find beauty in stitching the past into something fresh and wearable.
